Default Quick pics of my kit

It was about 2am last night, and I was really bored so I decided to take a couple pics. They are set up in the living room, so along with the kit you can take a look at; my mom's doll collection, a foosball table, my dogs' bones, and a lot of other things lol.

That`s a Swingstar, right?
Even those Tama kit which are in the lower price range are great in sound and good in quality. How have you tuned them?

and yeah, some specs would be awesome!

Nice set-up...

Well I'm in 2 metal/hardcore bands..but when I'm jamming myself I like to play a little bit of funk/fusion stuff too. And I love my K..I can use it for so many applications and it'll still sound great.

Yeah its a swingstar. It was my first kit that I bought and it has really served me well. I tuned the rack tom just high enough where I can get a good sound before it gets into the stage where it starts sounding dead. The moongel is obviously for some of the overtones I get. The floor tom is basically tuned in the same way so it won't be dramatically lower than the rack, because I have it set up as a 4 piece now.

Oh yeah, the reel to reel is pretty cool. We have so many reels that date back to the early 60's, its crazy.

Oh yeah, specs are:

Tama Swingstars w/ Pork Pie Little Squealer Snare
Z Custom Crash
K Dark Crash
A Ping Ride
Wuhan Trash
And ZHT Hats...soon to be replaced though :)
Most of the hardware is Tama except for a PDP stand, and the Dixon double pedals.

Yeah they do. The Z was my first upper line cymbal, and was given to me as a gift. The Z and K actually complement each other because they are on different sides of the sound spectrum I guess you could say lol. And I really loved the sound of the ping ride just altogether when I played it. Soon though, my apparent Zildjian fetish will be over when I pick up some Sabian hats and maybe a few other things.

If I had the money I'd have so many kits with so many variations lol.

Very well actually..with it's short decay I could use it like a trash without the gong-iness of it.

Your kit is pretty awesome, I'm a Sabian man but your range of cymbals looks excellent.

I also believe I have the same pedal as you. It's the only footboard I've ever found I could do heel-toe on with my heel actually touching the footboard. I've been practicing heel-toe with my heel off of the footboard lately, though.

Nice setup, but you've got your Wuhan china wrong side up. You should invert it, or you stand a good chance of cracking it along the flange, especially if you play metal...

Oh yeah, I know, but none of my stands allow me too right now. So I just really don't hit it that hard if/when I use it.

I like some of your cymbals! The Dark Crash and Ping ride are great choices!
