Default Ever Seen One Of These?

Had a guy trade this in today at the store where I work, where I promptly re-headed and brought it home with me.

Its a Sonor Jungle Snare. The sound, as expected is dry, short, and cutting. I am disappointed though as I thought that the tambourine rattles would be more a part of the snare sound, if you play a rimshot hard enough the sound is barely noticeable. I prefer deep snares but this one was too cool to pass up!

Note: Geocities temporarily shutdown my site, the pictures should appear soon...

Just for a few days? I'm pleasantly surprised at the sound I got out of this little drum. Its just fun, and that makes it worth it for me!

Id love one of these.....

I played one in a shop, and they sound really sweet, especially as the jingle holes act as vents....

Indeed. It's just a cool thing to play with. I def. don't take this snare seriously, but i enjoy playing it. Isn't that all that matters?

Alex,

I checked out your band's music on your myspace page.

Very nice. Nice tunes, good vocals, and solid drumming. You guys have a lot of talent.

Thank You!

Although, I hate the drums on "Back In Session." We had a day to write and record that song to meet a deadline for a movie. That being a factor, we had no time to set up drum mics etc, so we just recorded it on my electronic drums...

Thank you again for the compliments, keep checking back becasue we have a lot of new songs we're going to nashville to record!

Now, back to the snare drum!
