Default My Wuhan/Tama Rockstar drumset

Well.. Finally registered after about 4 months of looking on here..
My set is a Tama Rockstar DX 7 piece set, I don't have the snare that came with this as I got a Ludwig Black Beauty for free with it. I don't think he knew exactly how awesome of a snare this was when he sold it to me.
Never mind it's a Ludwig Acrolite. Still a very good snare lol. Anyways, here are the specs:
Tama Rockstar DX toms and BD
24x16 Bass Drum
8x8, 10x10, 12x11, 13x12, 16x16 Toms
Snare
14"x5" Ludwig Acrolite Black Sparkle Snare
Cymbals
14" Wuhan S Series Hi Hats
16" Wuhan S Series Crash
18" Wuhan China
20" Wuhan S Series Ride
Hardware
Iron Cobra Jr. Double Pedal
PDP Hi Hat Stand
Latin Percussion Black Beauty Cowbell
Heads/Sticks
Pro-Mark Millenium II Japanese White Oak Sticks
Remo Weatherking White Ambassador(2 ply for batter)
Tama Clear Head 200(single ply reso)
Remo Weatherking Coated Ambassador on snare

The set without the 8x8 tom

Black Beauty Snare

Honestly, they are really good. Very surprising for their price. The crash is probably my favorite one of them all though. I think for what you're looking for they're awesome and will suit all of your needs :)

well I also got today a 17" Zildjian A Medium Thin Crash Cymbal to add to the collection :) Bought it and a real nice double braced stand for 210 (145 for just the crash) So now i've got more or less the kit i've wanted(Just not as much quality) I want to upgrade all the cymbals(except the China) to Zildjian A's

Holy smoke! A free Black Beauty? That's unbelievable. Killer snare you got yourself there.

The rest of the set is nice as well.

That isn't a Black Beauty, that is a black sparkle acrolite that you got for free. It is a good snare, but not quite a black beauty. I have the exact same thing and I see no difference between them (well from that angle alone anyway).

Yup but the lugs are a dead give away, only 8 on the Acro while the beaut has 10.

Damn. Well I was way off lol I thought I just got different lugs for some reason I noticed that too but it does sound very nice.. Also for anyone interested in Wuhan, I almost like my 16" Wuhan S series Crash more than my 17" Zildjian Medium-Thin A's. I'm not sure which I like more exactly...

These are both with the new 17" Zildjian A

even if it isnt a black beauty i bet it is one hell of a snare. IM glad to hear the wuhans are good for the money. Its funney how sometimes the $40 ones sound better than the $140ones

Well the Zildjian's I guess had to grow on me.. I'm liking them more now but I still think the Wuhan, as a price ratio had more quality per dollar.. But eh, what can you ask for.

I'm thinking of having my teacher order a Paiste 2002 16" crash and see which I like better. Still not sure.

I play Wuhan S Series cymbals and love them. In fact all of my A Zildjians are now on my practice kit. I play 14 hats, 16 crash, 17 crash,18 crash/ride, and a 20 ride. Also an 18 china.
