I know this is random, but I got my wisdom teeth pulled out today. Been on meds, and haven't been able to play drums. =( But...I will soon! My band is writing new material and I can't wait to put that "perfect" part to it!

I agree we need some specs bro, and some close ups of the set. Those pics are far away and kinda dark. Congrats on the new kit how do you like it? and how much was it if you don't mind?

Thanks guys! Yeah, its awesome! And I'll have some pics of just the kit very soon...kind of hectic right now in the house. I actually paid $730 US for everything, including the shells, stands, cymbals and fibre cases. Everything is a little older, but it works fine.

Pretty cool set of drums you got there. But the pics are kinda dark and hard to make out.

Alright guys and gals, I know you have been waiting for pics and specs, so here are the specs. I'm sorry, no pics yet as I haven't been able to take 'em yet.

Drum Specs:

Shells: Pearl Export Scarlet Mist
-12” Tom
-13” Tom
-16” Floor Tom
-22x16” Bass Drum
-14x6” Snare Drum

Cymbals:
-Zildjian Custom A 16” Crash
-(2) Paiste 404 16” Crash (only using one right now)
-Paiste 505 22” Ride
-Vintage Zildjian Rock Hats
-Wuhan 18” China
-Sabian AAX 12” Splash
-Paiste 505 20” Ride (not being used)
-Paiste 404 14” Hats (not being used)
-Zildjian Scimitar 14” Hats (not being used)
-Zildjian Scimitar 18” Crash/Ride (not being used)
-Zildjian New Beat Hats (not being used)
-Sabian B8 20” Ride (not being used)
-Meinl AA Marathon 20” Ride (not being used)

Hardware:
-(2) Gibraltar Heavy Duty Boom Stands
-Gibraltar High Hat Stand
-Gibraltar Double Bass Pedal (works great though)
-Pearl Boom Stand
-Pearl Straight Stand
-Lots of other Pearl stands and Misc. Hardware
-Fiber Cases (ugly, but they work for what they are)

Planned Upgrades:
-Roc-N-Soc Nitro Throne
-Remo coated Ambassadors
-Remo PS3 Bass Head or Remo Powersonic
-Pearl Eliminator Double Pedal
-Assorted Zildjian Cymbals (Custom A Crash, Oriental China, A Custom Splash)
-Chad Smith Sig. Snare or other snare (not sure yet)
-SKB Roto-X Cymbal Vault
-SKB Hard Cases for everything including hardware bag (down the road)

Well, for the upgrades, I still need to hear the cymbals in person along with the snares. Most likely going to sell some of my cymbals down the road for upgrading. I’m not sure if the Export itself is actually “Scarlet Mist”, just looks like it according to the Pearl colors I’ve seen. The set itself is from 1984, according to some resources. Other than that, I love it! I’m going to use it to it’s full potential!

Thanks for your patience, appreciate it. I'll have detailed pictures up as soon as possible.

Well, the 404 is OK. You can tell there are better crashes than this one, but it does the job just fine.

Hey thanks man! Yeah, pretty darn good deal for the price. I'm still trying to get close up pics of my kit, but right now were re-modeling our kitchen, so everything upstairs is downstairs! No room right now...but soon!

Hey, that is cool. First I thought the finish would be a wrap but I was wrong. Great that you can still see the wood grain.
NIce set-up, I mean, why should anybody say that the line-up is "wrong"? :-D

Looks cool.

Karl

that stack of cymbals is worth way more than you paid for everything! Nice work.

Wanna sell that 20" Paiste 505?

Hey, here is an updated pic. I took it today, but unfortunately, both the crash and splash cymbal are gone now. :( But, that means I get to buy new ones!
So, I'm in the market for some new cymbals! What do you guys suggest and what not.. I mean, I basically know what I'm getting, but I'd like to hear from people who have sabian cymbals/Paiste etc. I'm looking at getting a Zildjian A custom Crash and also an A custom splash.

How do you guys like my setup? Pretty basic right now, but hey, that's all you need to make good music. ;)

Sweet kit but i find it a little weird if your going from your 13 to your 16 in a fill. Idk your 16 seems a little too close to your bass drum. But watever i'm too pickey.
