Default Ludwig Classic Maple "Bonham" Set Must Sell

For all you drummerworld drummers that know great drums.

I am getting married next month and need more cash so my babies gotta go. The auction and good photos are posted on ebay under musical instruments/Ludwig classic maple. My user name is Zinnman01. This auction ends Saturday night.

The kit is MINT, MINT, MINT and has never left the house. I ordered the kit and received it brand new in May 2006. It is in the natural maple thermogloss finish and yes.................26x14, 14x12, 16x16, and 18x16.

Sorry no photos here but I am having to post this using someone else's computer.

Regards to you all!

I'd buy that in a second if I wasn't broke. That's a beautiful kit

I can post a few reasons why this thread would be considered against forum rules.

Care for me to start?

I also think that you're going to have a few problems shifting that on eBay, for one your reputation is very low, secondly your starting price is too high. I wouldn't be surprised if nobody bites. Nice kit all the same.

The only one I can think of is that there is already a classified ad's thread. Is there a rule about posting links to your own Ebay auctions? Or is it because he didn't post pictures, or beyond that, a price or a link to where people can see it? I'm just curious so I don't make any mistakes down the road.

True, him having 0 feedback as a 'seller' might hurt his chances of actually selling it because some people don't trust those who have no reps as a seller, that's unfortunate. But you have to start somewhere. As for the price...yeah it might be a tiny bit high. A new shell pack WITH the snare is $2348...without it, the price might go down to $2000 or alittle higher. Considering it's used, no matter what the condition, the price automatically will come down quite a bit because it's still "used". If it were me, I'd probably pay only $1400 for it?

The kit with all the hardware and a snare goes for just under 3 grand. That's not a supraphonic snare drum with it either......a Ludwig steel (model?). The Zep reissue amber vistalite kit comes with the supra but costs a bit more.

Outside of what I'm selling it comes with one more snare stand, a low end pedal, a couple cymbal stands and I believe a low end hi hat stand. Anyway........someone out there might feel spending less for a kit that is exactly what they could get new for quite a bit more is worth it.

All points well taken though. I am honest but do wish I had more ebay transactions. Good thing pay pal and people's credit card companies/banks have ways to track me through pay pal once paid should I try to rip someone off. I don't want any fraud charges or an arrest!

Do these have reinforcement hoops? Do new Luddies in general have re-hoops?

These do not have reinf. hoops and do not need them. They are 9 ply. Some of the old luddys (Bonham's 69 kit like this) were 3 ply and did have them.

Sorry to hear that you are selling these Zinnman. I know what it's like...I sold a few things for my wedding fund. Is this the only kit you have? I'd seriously consider holding onto these man...these are LUDWIGS!!! Such a beautiful set.
