Yes...what a trio! I almost fell over when I found out that Steve Jordan & Pino Palladino were the rhythm section.

1. Kiss Alive!!! What a great album. This is what made "live" albums popular.
2. Iron Maiden Live After Death. Another fantastic album. Great sound with even better songs.
3. Kiss Alive II. This album only had a couple cheesy songs, but overall was incredible.
4. Black Sabbath Live Evil Dio really shined on this album. He even sang a couple of songs better than Ozzy (NIB)
5. Slayer - Decade of Aggression. This is probably the least polished of any live album ever created. You can hear all of the mistakes. But, it is so raw that you can feel it in your bones!
6. Racer X - Live Extreme. You hear what might be the most incredible group of metal musicians ever put together to do nothing but show off. Paul Gilbert at his very best, Bruce Builliet (The "second guitarist" who was under appreciated due to Gilbert), John Aldrette on Bass (Not quite Billy Sheehan, but pretty close) and finally, the most underrated drummer in Metal, Mr. Scott Travis.
7. Lamb of God - Killadelphia I hate the singer but the actual music sounds top notch. Chris Adler's drumming is really, really good on this.

Can't believe I forgot:

Jaco Pastorious--"The Birthday Concert". A big band including Jaco, Michael Brecker, Bob Mintzer, Don Alias, Peter Erskine.....it's heavy.

I just picked up the limited edition of "Just Jeff" with the bonus DVD. Great stuff. It's almost as good as the solo album/DVD "Interpretative dance to Percussion" by Meg White.

By far, Mother's Finest live (1978). Barry Borden is like a funky John Bonham. He plays with Marshall Tucker Band right now and used to play with Molly Hatchet as well. Those two bands aren't really my cup of tea, but MF was awesome back in the day. One of the great underrated drummers out there!

I would totally agree I always loved the drums in "flirtin with disaster" My band opened up for Molly Hatchet back in the 90's it wasn't. the original drummer but they still sounded great and were a cool bunch of guys.Way down to earth

Magma Live is intense. If you are at all interested in fusion or prog rock you need to hear that album.
Allman Brothers - Live at the Fillmore East
Miles Davis - It's About That Time, My Funny Valentine
Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane - Live at the Half Note
John Coltrane - One Up, One Down
James Brown - Live at the Apollo
Little Feat - Waiting for Columbus
King Crimson - Night Watch, Absent Lovers

Yeah...I also got a huge fan of Bill`s playing. Ive just listened to a tune ("Name that tune") from this album on John`s myspace and wow, that`s awesome.

Other than that I really love to listen to "Inside out": Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette live in London. Great great great stuff and trio!
