That 'rack tom' is massive !! Is it weird to play? I can imagine it being uncomfortable but they are very nice drums.

Tom

I like it. Simple and sweet. My friend had been setting his kit up like that lately. He uses 22, 14, and 18 diameters though. The 14 is real deep and it looks kinda funny as a 'rack tom', but the sound is great. He keeps it on a snare stand too. I plan on doing the same thing with my kit for when I don't have the stage space for my whole kit. I have a 14" floor tom that will be my rack, and 16" for the floor until I can afford an 18".

Whaen are you going to rewrap those Ludwigs? When you do, let us see the monster again.

I think, if I remember correctly, Harry's going to strip and lacquer the toms to match the kick. I'm pretty sure he said somewhere he's not a fan of wraps.

Boy, I get excited seeing all of those Ludwigs!

That is one massive rack tom. And the more I see bigger bass drums...the more I want one!

John was know to play a 4 piece kit before he played 5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Bonham And even after his jump to 5, I've seen pictures with him driving his Thermo Gloss Natural Maple kit as a 4 piece.

Very nice. I've thought alot about an 18" single FT option. I like it.
