I used a Pearl DR-100. Bought used for $100. I just sold all my PC-10 clamps on eBay. I had 10 clamps, which used, I bought for $12-$18 each. I can't say enough good things about the Pearl rack system. It's strong enough my lead singer used to sit on it during guitar solo's. The Icon rack is it's descendant.

i have a gibralter rack and i love it!!!!!!!!!!!

they sell a variety of clamps for whatever you need however with all the clamps it can get exspensive.

Seems like most of the front line racks, (Pearl, PDP, Gibraltar) are gonna all be satisfactory for your use. The mere usage of a rack at all makes for a lot of freedom when it comes to setup. I think the intricate differences make the difference starting at what you can afford. Based on what you can afford, lets you be as picky as you want to be.

I use a PDP rack...not the most exspensive, but I feel it's one of the more functional for the cost.

I'm extremely happy with my PDP/DW rack. I just played two gigs this weekend, and I'm getting faster at set-up/breakdown. Plus, I love all the memory locks and the way everything is right where I want it, every time.

I figured you'd be right there on this thread too.

Got to agree. I have a DW arm attached to my PDP rack too. Combo works nice. Memory locks on the PDP rack are great, notched. Setup and tear-down is quick.

well, after much window shopping, i have decided to build my own, i have all the clamps, pipes, and such drawn out and ready to be cut, welded, and powdercoated, i figure this way, i'll have all the clamps i could ever need because i could just build more anytime, at a very small cost, i'll post pics when complete.
