Thanks man! Actually, I'm thinking of replacing those heads anyway. I would actually like to put a yin-yang design on the bass heads. Joey Jordison is pretty cool, but to tell you the truth. I got this kit for a really good deal and could not pass this up!

Very cool kit man. How does it sound with the coated EC2's on it?

I think he means the snare!

How does it sound? Do you tune the bass drums the same, or similar?

It is good you use good cymbals like the 2000s you have in stead of just buying 101, b8 or that stuff. Keep rockin'!

Thanks man! The EC2 heads actually sound pretty good. They project very deep/dry tones. I'm trying these heads out for the first time and am satisfied. Which heads do you recomend I try next?

The kit sounds really good! The heads project deep tones and the bass drums are tuned the same. That is, as good as I could tune them the same. Although, I would like to buy some bass muffelers. I have the old fashion pillows in there but I would like to try something different. Suggestions? As far as my cymbals are concerned, NO COMPLAINTS! I'm all about PAISTE! My 2002 14" Sound Edge hi-hats are killer. Pojection and chick sounds are unmatched. Anything close to it would be perhaps some Zildjian K's or Custom Z's. Keep rockin 2!

If you are satisfied, then I have no recomendation for you. I have clear EC2's on my Mapex kit and I like them a lot. I have tried the Evans G2's clear and coated and have liked both but I really like the clear EC2's on birch. Maybe try the clear EC2's next but if your happy with what you are using stick with 'em. Enjoy your kit man!!

Hah! Tonight I was talking to my wife about the batch of cymbals I want to pick up next year, and she's like, "You're already getting five cymbals this time why do you need more?" I just laughed.

That's a very nice kit there by the way. :)

Im not a big fan of using some ones kit like that, but its basically just a black export that comes with the JJ snare.

no I'm pretty sure he meant to say that because you said Jordison kit, instead of Joey Jordison...

I'm no metal fan, but that is a pretty awesome kit.

Nice kit dude.

Gotta love the size.

A word of warning - keep it in mint condition, it'll be worth a lot of money some day.
