Looks great, I'm sure it sounds better. I'm not to keen on the Z Customs, but bar that I like it a lot. Loving the big floors.

Great sparkle burst! And overall a good kit! Which wood is the MMX...maple??
Also, how do you like those Z Customs? Do they sound very metal-like? They aren`t very musical, or?

Anyway, nice kit!

Karl

Thanks for the nice comments.

I used to really like the Z Customs, but since I got a couple of A crashes I've been quite happy with them. My Z customs still have their place - they are good for a lot of heavy stuff, which I do play a bit of. The Z Custom power ride however is the best ride I have ever come across, really bright, with a lot of definition and colour and that hats have a sizzle that I really love.

MMX is indeed maple wood. Sound georgous.

I love it. It's got a really tight sound and is really warm in tone. GReat all-round snare. Got it on second hand on e-bay for next to no money too.

I'd definately reccomend both. The ride is a brilliant all-round ride. I love it. Dont think i'd ever change that. The hats are exceelent too. they sometimes don't record as nice as they sound live, unless you mic them just right, but they have a sizzle that i love and a great 'chic' sound.

I love it.

Even though I love Mapex, I would love to one day own a top line pearl.
My first kit was a pearl, and I miss it.

Nice kit, you are very lucky.

Very nice kit and layout. I like your low-rider ride cymbal. "bout as low as they go, which is where I usually run mine.
