nice kit, really clean looking. i like your cymbal selection as well, good brands, set up for any genre. right side hats, too. what do you need the extra toms for though? i just don't like the contrast...

The xtra toms are from my other set. I have it set up that way so I can play "test for echo" by Rush with all its dynamic tom toms.

Great looking kit and LOTS of cymbals! Nothing wrong with mixing old and new parts of kit. Most of us have done it at one time or another. The only thing that matters is keep on playing. Best of luck!

Why get rid of the older stuff if its still good?

I used to think one style, one brand. No more.
Now its: what fits the music, everything else is second.

I went all Paiste before, mainly because of Copelands/Bonhams sound, but I couldn't play any Rush stuff with that, hence the introduction of the Ping Ride and the Zil Bel.

I still have the Rude for the Police stuff, I can play "driven to tears" better than that Josh Freeze guy. HA HA!!

Nice kit Foghorn!

I'm a Ludwig man myself and my tom sizes and setup are similar to yours. I was going to post up pics of both my maples and birch, but dw is having a problem with the website and posting up pics. Hopefully the problem will get fixed soon.

Beautiful Ludwigs...making me drool!
