Default Axis pedals

hi all

what do you think about this pedal? I'm using now the tama iron cobra. but i found it sometimes too heavy and not very sensible when I start to play faster.

Some friend of mine suggested me to try the axis pedals.

What's yuor opinion?

My opinion, as well as everyone elses would be to use 'Search'.

How bout we stop arguing about using the search button, he didn't do it, he should've...lets move on with our lives, but my opinion on the axis was that I liked them a lot, i actually liked them more than the DW 9002s and everyone says those areSOOO great.

Oh yeah I have a set of longboards too, they're real smooth. However I dislike the fact that you need several wrenches to make adjustments and my ICs are way more durable. Sorry I failed to mention that before.

"Durable"...as in there is something about the Axis that isn't?

Just wondering what to expect as far as breakage is concerned...

I think IC's are great, but I really want to get hold of some longboards. I'm trying to (and have spent all day pretty much) find some that I can get pretty easily without a 8 week wait. It makes it awkward coz I live in England. I would prefer the A series. Whats the main diff between the A's and the X's? If there's not too much difference I'll prob settle for the X's. Unfortunately I only have about 230 ish ($440) so I'm pretty limited. I came close on Ebay tho....

Thanks

The "A" series has an addistional adjustment at the base of the beater, or the fulcrum where the all the power comes from. The adjustment basically changes the footboard height without changing the spring tension or beater swing distance to the head. The "X" series is a set height.

Ah right thanks. Def want to go for the A series then. I don't think I'd cope without changing the pedal height. Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

I've had my Axis since about 1996 I believe... Absolutely love the pedal. I've got my slave pedal ordered so we'll see how quickly I learn some double bass technique.

As far as being durable I gigged a bit with the pedal and it's had a fairly rough life but so far I haven't had to replace anything. Can't complain about that.
