Drummer Karl , I am happy with the flat ride and all my ZHT's in general. I think it's a good deal for the money, and I think the ZHT's are a step up from other sheet cymbals, but obviously a step below cast. Thanks to all for checking out my kit.

Is this a wrap or a laquer? I have a Red sparkle fade kit and it's a laquer, I'v seen some kits
at GC that are wraps, why is that?

Timebandit, My kit is a wrap. All Tama Starclassic Performer's are laquer, my kit is a Starclassic Performer EFX which are all wraps I believe.

Yeah, I fell in love with the EFX in gold crush glitter. Actually I always wanted to have a laquered kit one day (and I got a laquered Superstar) but from time to time I fell in love with that wrapped kit.

Drummer Karl, The gold crush glitter is definitely one of the best. I go back and forth too with favorite looking kits. Sometimes you see a laquer kit that really floors you, then you see a wrap kit that just blows you away. The wraps even look better in person, the camera just doesn't do them justice.

Beautiful kit. I love that finish. I saw that finish at my local drum shop; and, you are right. It is stunning in person. Good choice of drums and color. Congratulations.

That's a very attractive kit man! Congratulations! I'm curious about the Stewart Copeland Sig. Snare. How is the sound/projection of the snare? Stewart Copeland is at the TOP of my idol list. I bet the Bass drum sounds very nice and deep. Am I right? Nice kit!

jimmyq, the bass drum has a great deep sound and the Copeland snare has a great crack which I just love. I also have a maple Tama Artstar snare which I like, but I really love the Copeland brass. Now if I could only play like him! LOL

Mmmm, the die-cast hoops are so sexy to see all around. The sparkle is nery nice too. How is the 18" fast crash?

tamadrummer132, I play open handed, ride & hi-hat with the left hand. The cymbals at the harsh angles are my two rides which I never feel the need to crash. I find having them at the angles makes them more comfortable to play but that is just my personal preference.
d.c. drummer, the 18" fast crash is my favorite cymbal I have. Tried the 16" in the store and might get that next. A lot of guys look down their noses at sheet cymbals but in my opinion Zildjian hit the nail on the head with the ZHT line. Great sound, great value. Better than other sheet cymbals, but obviously below cast.

I also have a White Silk snare.
