Default My new M Birch

Well, it's finally here. I picked it up around noon and started setting it up. I took about an hour and took a bunch of pics in between then tuned it up.

Compared to my old kit, this is SUPREME. I love it. The birch makes it so punchy and loud.

I plan on getting a 16x13" hanging floor asap.

Specs on request as usual guys!

I hope you enjoy these pics as much as i do!

How is it against the rules?

Nice kit. I have the same sizes with my toms and i couldnt wait to get a 16" floor. Hope it comes soon. And a specs request on the cymbals.

I changed the name already.

I haven't ordered it yet...this kit has run me dry money-wise so i'll see in 2 weeks...my birthday is also in 12 days but that money will be going to some G2's to bring out the REAL birch punch.

I'm still deciding on a 13x3.5 steel BP or a 16" floor tom. I'm leaning more towards the 16 because i already have a BP but i wanna get both either way.

go for the 16" tom.

And dispite you love of evans heads, you must get an aquarian satin texture coated head for that snare.

If you don't believe me, search Nick D'virgillio

here check this out.

He uses a BP and I love his sound.

Not just for the snare but for all his drum...

Satin finish texture coated over classic clear for all his tom, texture coated over hi-performance for his snare and SuperKick 1 for his bass drum batter. ;-)

They're actually really good pedals and I'm quite sure you can still order them. I was told they were discontinued but i got them anyway...and then they even ordered another one because i needed a spare part a few months later.

Thats cool. I like the concept of sliding the pedal over, more than the regular drop clutch. That red looks really nice

Classic clear snare side or hi-performance is exactly the same head but the hi-performance has the safe ending to prevent the snare wire puncture.

Nice kit that. You know, I've only ever seen one Mapex kit. It's a bit surprising considering their popularity.

Nice kit. I'm hoping to get a M Birch too. I noticed you have a left hand ride and your hihat was low. Do you play open?

Why have quote my post though, to only specify your original thread title.

it comes from MX

We're too lazy to list specs with pics unless asked.

woah, thats kinda wierd. Then i guess the whole concept of the pedal is just to combine the two into one? Is there a somthing you can switch, so it DOES close when you switch over?

Nice bro!
You can easiy tell that you play open-handed ;) cool!
I play open too, but the ride is on my right side. Bu I did lowered the hats almost at the height of the snare! it's so much fun to play open-handed ;)
