Default Just sold my old pearl export, now looking to upgrade

Hey guys I just sold my 5 piece pearl export black w/ black hardware and zildjian zbt cymbal pack for $800 witch in my opinion turned out good for me.

Anyways i'm looking to upgrade my kit to a nice mapel kit and I was thinking Ide ask for opinions on what you guys think would be a good choice

Right now I'm stuck on a Mapex or Gretsch or Sonor Force 3005 Fusion (if i had the cash ide get a dw). I saw a nice deal on musiciansfriend for a 6 piece Mapex Pro M with free black panther snare( and was thinking this is the set I want to get but I thought ide ask you guys first what you would suggest, or mabey just compair the 3 listed above

Heres a link to the Mapex kit if anyone wants to check it http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...are?sku=449148

Thanks for any feedback
JP

I'd recommend you checking into Pacific Drums & Percussion Kits. I have the CX Series Blue Onyx, and it has turned out great for me, you can check it out in my sig. It's also a 6 pc. kit and it sounds superb!...

I second the Pacific Drums recommendation.
I own a Mx and the finish is stunning as well as the sound. I also like PDP hardware i think its extreamly solid and the prices are superb. You wont be sorry with pacific.

The Mapex Pro M is an absolutely fantastic kit. It's hard to believe how low it's price point is. One of the best sounding bass drums I've heard as well. The free Black Panther is icing on the cake (and very amazing icing, I might add). I'd say go for the Pro M, but make sure you don't rule out the other kits too. Do some research.

Here's a song from a guy at Center Stage M. He used a Pro M. http://putstuff.putfile.com/22866/970480

Don't overlook the Ludwig Maple Classics. Very nice drums, they have a great retro look to them and are very reasonably priced for a high end kit. As far as snare drums are concerned you can't go wrong with the Supraphonic, I would put it against the Black Panther anyday of the week.

you would never regret buying a Pro M.

I have talked to several people that have bought it, and none have found problems with it, and many say that they will never buy a different kit again.
