I like setup #2 the most (picture # 4), but I'm questioning the placement of your cowbell/block all the way out to the left. Have you considered mounting them to the bass drum? it might make the transition a little smoother between the cowbell/block and the toms or ride. Not to be a nag or anything.

Other than that.. amazing cymbal choices, amazing shells.. wow. I'm.. very jealous. props, brah. enjoy those drums!

Her is the new snare and cymbal, with yet another set up. The snare is a 14" X 6 1/2" Mapex Black Panther, and it sounds GREAT. Awsome sensitivity, great warmth, and a peircing pop. The cymbal is a 20" K Constantinople flat ride I picked up from Rupp's Drums in Denver. It lists around $420 and I got it practically new for $285. It had some stick marks on it from people tryin' it out, but that was it. I absolutely LOVE this cymbal. Warm, broad stick definition with hardly any wash. The crash is quick and full; great for accents.

weegs: The artist maples sound pretty darn good for the price. The bass is too big for Jazz, but otherwise they sound great.

kung_fOO: I used to mount the cowbell on the bassdrum with an LP Claw, but it left a sizeable indentation in the hoop, even with a towel under it. I rarely use it anyway, just threw it in for a little jam!

What a stunning kit you have!

Nice simple lay out with a great choice in cymbals. I bet it all sounds great.

Got any sound samples??

Absolutely an A+ setup. How do you like the sound of the k Con with the left side ride and the special dry ride? Does it sound better with one of them over the other? Do you ever ride all three at once, or just set it up for the pic? Again, great kit! Joey

Drummer Karl: I really like my 22" Left side ride. It's dry, dark, great stick definition and nice sizzle. The only problem I have with it is that the rivet-side is heavier, so I always end up hitting the same spot. If you look at the picture you can see that part of the cymbal is kind of shiny (where I play on it) and the rest is still dull. Other than that I love it!

Titan Sound: Nope, no recordings just yet. I've taken a couple of videos, but I can't figure out how to get them on my computer. I hope to be getting some recording equipment for christmas though, so I'll definetly have some up after that!

Marshmellow: You know, I really don't like them that much. They aren't nearly as "crisp" as advertised. I have to stomp pretty hard to get a clean sound out of them. Good for rock stuff though.

Joey Beats: They sound pretty good together. Each cymbal has a distinct sound. The K cons. is pretty quiet compared to the other two, so I use it mainly for piano and bass solos, but I can still crash it for short accents and it'll cut through. I have been using all 3 in my set up for a little while and I'm pretty pleased with the sound.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I`m not sure about this so I ask: I s it bad for the cymbal if you always hit it on the same point/spot???
Because I often do, my cymbals also don`t move around very much...

Nice kit, lots of nice cymbals to with a sweet snare too. I can't see to much of a problem with hitting a cymbal in the same spot Karl, other than you may wear that spot more than the rest of the cymbal.

You are correct, sir.

Export Drummer: I definetly want something different. Don't get me wrong, I love this kit, but I need a smaller bass drum and a deeper floor tom for Jazz. I got this kit around 2001 when I first started getting into jazz.
