Yeah, what do you want to know? Discography? Try allmusic.com. Playing? Listen to some stuff with him on it. Reccomedations? Let me know, I'll give you a bunch. I took a couple clinics with him a few years ago.

Here's his site:

Fair enough man, and so you did! Billy is a great player and has somehow avoided being awarded the praise reserved for his collegues. It's unfortunate.

In the future, you might want to start a thread without a question that someone could simply answer 'yes' to=)

Anyone know anything about his teaching? I might go to the Oberlin conservatory for music, mainly because he's teaching there. I love his playing, but if anyone knew how well he taught, that'd be awesome.

Hey Guys,
He actually has a book out with his transcriptions and also minus drums to play along with. It has a really good explanation of his playing and all.

It is unfortunate. He's played on a lot of really great sessions and his longevity...he's still going strong. It seems he will never be looked on as one of the truly great jazz players though, apart from among the jazz buffs, which is rather sad really.

Default Billy Hart Interview: Simply stunning.

I apologize if this is old, or has been posted before. I read it and felt closer to the music. I can't say more for it than that.

I'm only familiar with Billy's work with Herbie and Miles, but is something else.
