Default Giving back to the community

A while back, I bought 8 djembe's at an estate sale for real cheap (no one knew how to rehead/restring them). After refurbishing them, I gave them away to schools all over town. That lead to fixing some kits for middle/high schools so the students would actually have working drums to play on.

So I ask, how do many of you contribute to the younger generation of drummers to see to it our craft doesn't die?

Awesome! I pass on a good deal when I can as well.

I'm a novice drummer and I feel that I don't have much to offer, but my kids and their friends are free to use my drums at any time. It's the least I can do.

It's cool you have that kind of community and you do it out of kindness.

I've done a few kit refurbs for the younger guys and shown them how to tune drums properly, just basics but it's the least you can do.

When I get rid of a load of used heads at my lockup I don't throw them out I just leave them outside the room. They always get taken, better than 10 year old pitted pinstripes which is what a lot of beginner kits seem to have.
I aint farting on no snare drum
