Default A groovy solo from the master :)

Despite my life long love for Simon Phillips, I've never been a huge fan of his free form solos and I've always preferred when he's soloing over music within a song, but this is so good, he play a tasty groove that remains constant throughout this amazing solo...

Made me crawl out from under my rock to share it :D

It's always amazing to me how such a small statured individual plays such a large kit.

Good heavens!! Wow kit is so nicely tuned, thats THE big drum set sound right there. A drum solo I can actually make it thru. Fantastic playing!!! Great share, thank you.

Good nuggets on here today...

I always liked the sound he got tuning large toms up a bit with clear ambassadors top and bottom. Nice imediate and open sound without too much sustain.
