I have seen or heard a few of these with Jon and they are all straight forward, no fluff, honest interviews. I have talked to Jon after two WA concerts and this sounds just like one of those conversations. Thanks for posting.

Great podcast. Nice to hear a practical, straightforward account of making a living.

"Starving for one's art is highly overrated."

Thanks for posting.

Thanks! That's my favorite response to musicians who refuses to get a regular job: "I can't do that, I'm an artist!"

Right....

Yesterday, I tuned into drummers resource (as I do every Monday and Friday), and was pleasantly surprised to hear the interview with Bermuda. Drummers Resource, is always an informative podcast, and then, to actually hear the voice of someone that's active here and has actually replied to one of my posts a long time ago, is pretty cool.

Yeah, that whole starving artist bit gets old. After a while you get with the program so you can stop being poor.

My next article in DRUM! just happens to be about day jobs! Maybe the October issue? I use 'the line' a few times. :)
