Default Photo bucket

So now that PB charges $100 per yr. what other options are there to post pictures on DW? That's a crazy high price.

I post mine to a private folder on Facebook that only I can see and link from there. Works pretty good for me. Other options would be to upload them to Google Drive.

I just switched to Imgur---but I have several years' worth of posts with no pictures thanks to the dicks at photobucket---they're not getting a penny from me!

I just asked a similar question here.

Google photos is working for me and the app to write the embed code.

I am confused, why do you need anything but your Computer, to post pics on here.

If you can post pictures on this forum directly from your computer, not using a photo hosting website, please explain how you do that.

So I don't need a photo hosting site in order to post pictures on this forum. Cool.

And I just tried to upload a picture from my Facebook photos, and that worked too. And I can store a bunch of photos in my Facebook photo albums, for free.

Click on the manage attachments in the attach files dialogue box, it will open up a browser box for you to upload your photos. First you must open the photo up with (Paint) option to change the resolution to 1200 under pixels. Thats what I have been doing all along.

I always use postimages.org. It has options to resize the photo for you as well.

You can also use 'manage attachments' to delete your old photos from this site that are taking up storage space.

Any jpeg on my desktop I just click and it opens in Preview on my Mac laptop. Tools adjusts size to fit DW requirements. What's fun is you can open the little tool box and cut paste images together. So here is some Coleoptera "Art" and Primitive "Art". LOL. I'm rewriting history in my alternate universe.

Are you really storing over 100 GB of photos on Photobucket?

I started an Album here. Uploading is as easy as browsing your current images/pictures on hand (on your computer), adding them to your Album, and when you want to add a picture to a post, copy the BB Code, add it to your post, and there it is. So far I haven't had to resize a single picture I've added to my Album, nor have I had to resize any existing picture in my Album when posting.

Lots of options.

They've had issues for a while, so I'm mostly using imgur now.

Wait, photobucket charges now?

They've been who I've been using since 2004. Granted they are so outdated and have been since like 2009, I just kept with them since that's who I always used.

What about pictures that you already have uploaded? I have a ton.

Same situation here. Not sure about my old posts, but current ones, Photobucket totally shut 'em down. The reason they gave was something to do with 3rd party sharing? and nothing to do with how many I have. They indicate I'm 30% full. Which I'm kinda surprised at that. I just don't take many pictures, let alone push to something online. I have increased my pic usage with my A2E conversion.

But I'm done with Photobucket. It's good timing. Maneuvering around on Photobucket with all the advertisement and re-directs was driving me nuts.
