Not sure if you can select your audience on posts, but if someone's causing a problem for a fellow member, they can be banned (by IP address so it's more difficult to come back.) If someone's simply here watching what you post, there's not much we can do. Reading posts isn't an offense.

Posts are either public or private. There is no selective squelching.

If you make a public post, you simply need to learn to deal with the riffraff, the general population, those with different opinions and experience, those that call you on your bullshit, and the assholes.

It's all part of the big dumb soup that is humanity.

If this is about people not letting you live down your comment about being better than Ringo by the age of 12...

Not sure what the problem with that comment is...

TimmyG could be better now than Ringo was when Ringo was 12.

*snicker*

Trolled? Or simply called out for spouting nonsense?

The way I see it, you dropped a bomb......a rather big one. And now you wanna duck for cover 'cos it's gone off?

Harden up man.

In the public domain, you are free to say whatever the hell you like......no matter how ill-conceived or illogical. It is your right.

However, it is not your right to think that what you say can't be countered.

Sticks and stones my dear thing.

Ignorance is bliss if someone is going out of your way to annoy you. Don't give them the attention they crave. If they have nothing better to do than type stuff about a stranger then they're a bit a sad bastard really.

Opinions are subjective but some people handle this better than others.

Last time I went "Trolling" I caught a bunch of Mahi Mahi. Sounds like you are having a similar experience. I'm a lil envious-I don't have a troll-do you have to feed them?

I see this word on the forum occasionally (trolling) and I am not for if I know exactly what it means. A pest, someone that replies negatively to your every comment, a groupie of sort's, or simply a

The ringo claim is just not the only thing im sure.
But ya really... people just... say things. U just gotta accept it. Im not sure ive ever always always respected all drummers that are pro and out there better in status and life than i am either. Brad Wilks is one of my fave drummers and his playing is simple as hell. I used to play RATM stuff and rap at the same time in my highschool band... lol

Timmy just wanted to express in an ill-conceived manner at how simply ringos playing style is.. and people jumped on him of how ringo is an innovator etc etc well duh.. thats why theyre the greats... not cuz he devised the worlds most difficult licks. I get what timmy was saying in a way. Ringos playing was that simple that i am sure i can play better licks sometimes... but it just wont sit well with internet world and people haha.. go figure.

Im 31 this yr and i am one of the most dynamically affected generation in terms of internet growth. Trolling concept is in my blood. Endless amount of online MMORPG MOBA games helped me develop thick skin. I grew up with AOL ICQ MSN in my early teens and what we have now - seen the most vast amount of changes of thr internet generation and stayed on top of it. Slowing down now but what i wanna say timmy G is that just dont give 2 much f*ck about what others say on the internet

If banter on an online forum keeps you up at night, then one of two things is probably going on. 1) You have an unrealistic idea of your place in the world in which all your ideas and opinions are absolute truth and are not up for debate. 2) The reason it bothers you is that you recognize there is an element of truth in what others say that you dont want to admit to yourself.

Don't take things (or yourself) so seriously. You don't even know any of the people on this forum. Why would their opinions bother you so much?

It's almost as if I have found a small part of society that I can cope with. Almost.

Around 7.5 billion beautiful people on this great blue earth.

Know what I do when someone talks shit about me ?

I put it all into perspective.

Don't worry for worry's sake.

Heck I said some pretty stupid things on here that got a couple of dudes panties in a bunch but you just take it like a man, address the issue and then move on.
