Default Bump on palm of hand

Too much pornhub, or......?

Seriously, I just discovered a bump, or a lump, on my right palm. Not a callous...could be a cyst? I looked it up, and it could be the beginnings of Dupuytren's Contracture?

It's sort of between the pinky and ring finger, and down between the 2 horizontal wrinkles or lines.

Doesn't hurt or anything, no curvature of fingers, can lay palm flat on table.

Just wondering if this could be common amongst drummers.

I would keep an eye on it. Did it just appear? How big is it? Is it getting larger, changing color? I would see a doctor if it were me.

Doesn't sound like Dupuytren's Contracture-do you wear a ring a callous will form there from a wedding band. Probably a ganglion cyst would be my guess-that or some Alien invasion in which I'd have that thing amputated immediately. LOL.

Not changing color or anything, not sure how long it's been there, don't wear a ring.

I suppose it could be a cyst, I have a bump on my wrist that is probably that, too.

Don't even really know what made me notice it.

But I have been playing the drums a lot more lately (I don't really consider myself a drummer, play other instruments). Have sort of stepped up practicing though, and so thought it could be related.

I guess if it gets worse somehow, I'll drag myself to a doctor.

No, it isn't common to drummers. I'd just go to the doc and be done with it.

I've had something like this a few times over the years, and it always fades away after a few weeks. I also feel like it appears when I'm playing a lot. Maybe its when I'm lugging equipment a lot. No sign of it at the moment.
