Default Help dating yamaha 9000 made in England

Hi a couple of months ago I bought a yamaha 9000 Cherrywood the bass drum and toms are made in England and the two floor toms are made in Japan, I have seen threads about this topic before on here and they were very helpful. Yamaha made drums in England from 1987-1991 I think, and the serial numbers don't seem to tally with those years were the codes different for England. The kit is 8 10 12 14 15 20. . 8" model: TT908RC serial: IY-0270 10" model :TT910RF serial: IY-0323 12" model :TT912RF serial: IY-0357 14" model :TT914RF serial: JP-4290 15" model :TT915RA serial: km 20" model :BD902RF serial:JK0466 . So I can see that in the model number for the 8" tom that TT= tom tom, 9= 9000 series and 08= the size of the drum RC= recording custom. What's RF,RA? The floor toms JP AND km say that it's 1983 august and 1984 June. But no numbers on 15" just km. The others give me 1982 november and the bassdrum 1983 april. I believe the 90's ones have a 3 digit prefix. Any help is much appreciated.I seen it for sale twice in my area in the last few years but my guess is that it was bought from a large shell bank of RC's at some point, I've falling in love with this kit and would like to Know the age of it . I usually use a five piece but it's great to have the selection. Here is a couple if pics the 8" not in it. :)

Badazzz kit 1more ! Can you check on your toms and see if they look more under-sized in diameter compared to the mounted floors ???

First off that is a sick kit, congrats! If you email Yamaha they can provide you all that information. I've done it with my yamaha kit and they were great about providing info. Just don't expect a reply in 24 hours.

Cheers dude, I only have the 8 and 15 to hand at the moment and there not that much under sized especially the 15 the 8 maybe a little more but not much. Nowhere near the amount of a genista which I had a while ago, it was a reissue one.

You will they have great customer service. Just be patient. They don't need pics just model and serial numbers (basically info off the badges.)
