Default DW 5000 Repair Help.

Hello All!

Does anyone know of a place where I can send in my pedal for repair? Part of the chain has broken on my DW 500 single pedal, disconnecting it from the foot board. I do not have the tools required to remove the chain and place a new one on. Is there such a place that will do this repiar for me? Thank you very much for your help.

You can probably just order a new chain. Just curious, did the chain itself break or the mount that attaches it to the foot board?

I replaced a chain on my old DW 5000 this week. It broke during a gig years ago.

That's the part. I managed to find a local music store who did delivery.

The only tools you need are a philips head screwdriver and a small flat head screwdriver (use this to remove the link - see pic). Oh and a drum key too.

Be careful not to bend the link parts when removing with the flathead screwdriver. It's a very easy job to do and the chain should cost less than 20$.

It was the mount to the foot board.

Thanks for your info. I will see if I can manage it.

DW uses Locktite on the screws, if you are having trouble getting it lose, heat it up with a hair dryer, it will come out much easier ;-)
