Default Wireless Headset for Roland TD-11KV

Hello,

I'm looking for a headset wireless to play drums.

I'm using the Roland TD-11KV, connected to my amp. A computer is also connected to my amp to play over the music. The headset is connected to my amp.

I've buy a Sennheiser RS180 but there is a small (but uncomfortable to play) delay and the volume, is going down when I start to play over the music. Everything is ok with a headset with wire

Could you please help me to find the right model ?
Do you use headset wifi ? If yes, wich one ?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Ghislain

Wireless just seems like a PITA with batteries and possible latency issues, etc... I prefer my wired headphones (Audio Technica ATH-M50) with a 10 foot straight cord. They work amazingly and I just drape the cord over the back of my left shoulder. Never gets in the way of my playing.

I think you can simplify your setup by plugging the the pc directly into your drum module.
then you have your headphone volume control as well as music volume control right at your kit.

thx

My main problem is the (very short) delay between what I play and the sound.
Some of you use a Wireless headset to play on a Electronic Drum ?

Thanks

Google bluetooth audio latency and you will find the answer.
Your headphones are not likely to work with playing music.

The pro's just use a really expensive wireless headset transmitter with their favorite in ear monitors. They usually have their techs figure out what mix of each member's instrument comes through the most (per person) and they don't have any latency issues.

If you are running everything through your computer, it could be a soundcard issue. If you are playing everything through your amp, then eliminate that variable and see if you have less latency. I cant see the amp causing the issues, but its just another variable in the mix.

In the end, you are best off playing music either from a USB that you plug in to the TD-11, or plug the computer headphone jack to the mix in on the TD-11 and run wired headphones directly from the TD-11.
