Default Earplugs

For some reason this thread seemed out of place under the gear section of this forum... So I'm posting it here...

Will somone please enlighten me on the concept of earplugs?

I use skull candy earphones as my ear protection for practice and gigging.... They "seem" to work just fine.. Lol...

Will someone please explain to me what a term like "32db" means? and what different levels of noise reduction (is that the appropriate word?) work for practice, band practice, and gigs?...

Thanks

Jacob G.

Should clear things up. Higher DB means louder. The more you spend on your ear protection (up to a point) the better you'll hear things as they really are.

I don't know what you think Watso but I think we have another 'General Discussion Offender' at hand.
