Default Connecting gen16 to 2box module

Hello,

I just received my first drumkit and it came with a Gen16 cymbal set. I have some problems setting it up... Hope someone here can help me.

I have no clue how to connect the gen16 DSP to the 2box module..(nothing in the manual on this ... and 2box module doesnt come with a manual, at least mine didnt) The Gen16 dsp has 2 jack outs for left and right channel ... do these go to line in 1 and 2 on the 2box module ?

Do I have to configure inputs on the 2box ?

I tried connecting with a headphone from the aux port but sound quality kills my ears, lots of white noise. I read about "amping" gen16 would give me better sound quality ... how would I do this in combination with the 2box module ?

Thanks!

Hi!

I don't have it here in front of me but there are left and right line level inputs on the Gen 16 module to accept the left and right outputs from the 2box module. Using these will allow you to mix the relative levels of the cymbals relative to the drums via a volume pot on the top of the Gen 16 module.

Let me know if this works for you.

The best way is to hook your 2Box outputs to the dual inputs on the Gen16. The Gen 16 module has a blend knob that allows you to balance the sounds of the cymbals and the 2Box, as mentioned by Croc.

I put the cable from the gen16 dsp (the 2 main ports for left and right) into the line in of the 2box module which gives me a 1 channel cymbal set O_o. Can I configure one of the outputs as an input ?

The 2box module has a single stereo line input. Seems to me all you need to do is use the proper stereo Y adapter to take the mono left and right line level outputs from the Gen 16 module and run them into the single stereo line in jack on the 2box module.
