Default DW practice kit help!

I recently bought a used DW practice kit and i love practicing on it but the only problem is that sometimes when you hit a little hard on a pad that's at an angle towards you, no matter how hard you tightened the lug it will loosen a bit because of the impact and roll forward. i hate when that happens in the middle of a cool phrase! does anyone know how to correct this problem?

hopefuly you can see what i'm talking about in a picture below:

any suggestions?

Default Re: DW practice kit help!

I use 2 sets to duplicate my 2up-2dwn set up. Try turning that locking post 45 degrees so there is no angle the arm can tilt.

The only problem I've ever encountered is that the pads always loosen and you have to tighten them almost each session.
