Man I seriously love your kit!! It's visually beautiful, nice choices for snares, cymbals are killing, everything is just great! I'd really enjoy playing a kit like that as I'm sure you do. I'm totally jealous.

Very comfy looking setup, and great cymbals. I also enjoy having the smaller tom set up to the left of the hats. Welcome to the forum.

Well, thank you. Almost made me blush there :D I'm very happy with my current kit. I love birch drums. I actually would've got a 8" deep snare drum in birch, but there just aren't any in the market and I can't afford a custom one. The MLX is still a great piece of work. Very warm, but still quite punchy sound.

Allthough the cymbals I have are great and all, the effect cymbals have to be updated. A 10" Wild Splash will replace the Alpha some time in the future and I'm also going to buy 15" and 19" Wild Chinas. And maby a couple of crashes. And a new hi-hat :)

The SBX sound wonderful too, but in the future I'm still going to update the kit into a high-end kit. It will be either a Yamaha Absolute Birch Nouveau or a Pearl Masters Premium BRP kit. I want a bigger bass drum and shallower floor toms. Plus a matching, DEEP; snare drum hee hee :P

I love your set too, it does look extremely comfortable to play and I also am a fan of the extra left side tom, opens up a lot of potential creativity. Kudos

They sound heavy as hell ;) Heavy/Extra heavy is a killer combination for everything that's loud. I mostly play metal & rock, so these hat's work quite well in my kind of music. I used to have a black label 2oo2 top cymbal instead of the 1000, but it cracked. I'm going to get a 2oo2 14" Sound Edge hats this year to replace my current hats though. They are amazing.
