Default REALLY quiet practice pad option. Enter the Dragon!

In my quest for the quietest practice pad option I decided to take a punt on a Dragon 10" Mesh head practice frame which I got from Rockem Music here in the UK.

At 10 it seemed like a bit of a bargain really, although I was slightly worried that it would fall to pieces as soon as it was hit with a stick! I also bought one of their budget 10 snare stands to sit it on to make the most of the rather pricey postage cost. All told it basically cost me 30 to the door.

Now don't get me wrong, the quality of the finish is hardly what one might call top end but, for the money, you wouldn't really expect it. It feels sturdy, the frame is substantial not flimsy and the responsiveness of the head is great and it is much, much, much quieter than your average practice pad.

All in all, I'm very happy with my buy.
