Default Gretsch

I just picked up a Gretsch Catalina Birch for 500 at guitar center with the 8 10 12 and 14 inch toms, a 14 inch snare and a 22 inch bd. I should get them on the 16th and ill post some pics. Its in a dark red wood laquer and comes with the real evans g2 coateds on top.

The Cats have been a staple in the drum world for a long time now.
You really can't go wrong with them.
You got a whole lot of drums for a good price :)

Thanks for the replies. I've started with the crap kits and figured it was time to upgrade. I went in to trade my old kit and planned on buying a used pdp cx. I walk into the drum section and there is a birch gretsch used for 500. Looks like nobody ever even touched them. Plan on getting a 2nd crash too.

You got good drums for a sweet price. Ive been playing the Cat maples for a few years and im sure youll love the birch. Enjoy!!!

I know maple is great sounding but I heard birch has a lot of punch which is what I like, and for the price it cant be beat
