Whats up drummers.

Has anyone tried these mics?

In my honest opinion, the audio on the vocalist was some of the poorest audio that I've ever heard. The top end was too brilliant and edgy with vast amounts of distortion.

I don't know what their drum microphones sound like though.

I've got a pair of cheap MXL condenser mics, they were $99 about 5 years ago at Guitar Center... for TWO mics!

They're actually fine as overheads, but I definitely wouldn't use them on a kick, or toms. Cymbals yes, snare maybe, vocals never.

But that's just these, I'm sure they have other models.

I don't know if these are available in your area, but if you want XML for drums, you could go with these:

http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-MAS-CDK-LIST

and us the money saved for a different mic for vocals. I agree with audiotech that the vocals sounded shrill - beyond just the style - ha ha.
