Default dw 5000 db pedal question

Quick question guys, i just bought a dw 5000 double bass pedal off ebay for pretty cheap. came in the mail last night. great condition and like new. The only issue is that the left pedal squeeks when being played and it is not as smooth as the main right pedal...i cant really find out where the squeek is coming from but im sure some of you dw pedal pro's can point it out for me... so is there a way to smooth this out?

thanks!

White Lithium Grease on the springs, bearings, and hinges; essentially any joint that moves. The rod the connects both pedals on the DWs is not the best.
