Here's some sloppy playing that goes on ,and on. Excuse the rust.
I think a 12x6 would be a good choice over a solid or edge. I love 14" edges, smaller diameters just die and fall flat imo.
That sounds great! The only other edge I've heard is a 7x13 and it sounded pretty decent but would prefer a 12" drum as a side snare. I'm currently eyeballing a 6x12 DW workshop series snare but I'm not sure how good those drums sound.

That's really pretty. Too bad you didn't get deep power toms though. Then it would've looked like Tommy Aldridge when he played for Whitesnake. That look is coming back, you watch!

Picked up this little gem a few days ago from Guitar Center. Looks brand spanking new and is in mint condition. I cleaned off the finger prints of course as well as upgraded to the new mag throw. :) Fits in quite nicely with the rest of my DW snares and kit. ;)

A little update to my DW Collector's Series Kit. I just received my 18" Vault Artisan O-zone Crash back from Sabian and added it to my kit. I also upgraded the snare hoops on my 12" Workshop series snare to the new True Hoops.

DW Mini Pro in Red Ruby Glass. This is my fourth mini kit (2 x Sonor Jungle + RM Hipgig) and my favorite. Hardware is not too bad, holding up better than I thought...they are very light. Not sure what my foot thinks of the included 6000 BD pedal yet...

Nice touch with the reso! I've always been a fan of DW's twisted finishes.

I normally don't like black hardware, even though one of my kits has it. It does look great on that kit, though!

Thanks guys. The hardware is called black nickel. DW's black chrome isn't as nice, looks more like flat black paint.

Holy tom angles batman! IMO that kit nearly qualifies for the tom angles thread. But as long as it works for you I don't have a problem with it.

Lovely finish though!

That last pic is fantastic. You can really see the wood grain popping out in that finish. Beautiful drums.

This is a close up of the one of a kind wrap on my 1998 Keller era Collectors Series. Sizes are 10,12,14,16,22. The kit used to belong to billionaire and co-founder of Microsoft Paul Allen. He is an avid guitar player and has a world class recording studio in his home. I am guessing it was used in his studios because they are in mint condition. He also has a studio on his yacht.http://www.aethelyon.net/post/888236...us-paul-allens
As for the wrap, he wanted a one of a kind wrap so he commissioned DW to come up with something unique. I purchased them from Donn Bennett drum studio who gave me the history of the kit.

I actually hated it at first but it was a good deal so I bought them. I have been playing them for 4 years now and I would not trade them for a brand new kit. The 16 floor tom is in the background. Try to ignore the messy room.

The floor tom in the back looks like an end table. It must sound amazing.

Those look great! From a distance, that wrap looks like an exotic veneer. Very unique!

Nice setup bro! Did you get a giant sticker made to go over your kick reso? Looks like a seam around the edge of the head. Regardless, I like the look and hole placement. :D

Thanks man!

It's a custom screen print on my kick head - it doesn't extend all the way to the edge so that it doesn't crinkle when tension is applied to the head. It's slightly noticeable but really I'm not too worried, the print itself is really durable so I won't have any issues with it scratching or tearing.
