Default Roland TD9 + Addictive Drums

I'm very sorry for the repost, but I have posted in the wrong session and it hasn't been moved:

I own a TD9, which I mainly use for practising and recreational purposes.
I hate the sounds, though. I bought some sound packs on the internet, but they didn't make it any better for me.
Now I'm thinking of using it as a midi controller to play with Addictive Drums. I've seen some videos on the internet and it seems perfect.

For that, I need a MIDI interface for my laptop, but I have no idea of what to look for. I know I don't want to spend crazy money though.

Do you think this would be good enough? I don't want to end up with latency :/

OR, I was thinking of going for something different, such as:

Since it's not that expensive and, with the akai one, I could also record guitars, bass and so on.

Would the MIDI input quality change in any way, between these two?
