Default What can I do about a squeaky Hi-Hat stand?

Hey everyone,

I'm new to drumming and have learned a lot here. Thank you for that.

I have a DW 3000 Hi Hat stand, and it makes noise when I step on it. Not actually a squeaking sound, but just a rackety metal sort of noise. The noise seems to come from inside the tube, and not from the foot pedal or board.

Is this normal?

Does anyone else have a DW 3000, and if so, does yours make any noise when you use it?

Thanks!

Jeff

Anything loose and rattling in there? Is the pull rod straight?
