Default Wood Beaters?

Do they give more attack and volume than plastic beaters? Also, what is their life span? I play an unmuffled bass drum, and usually play music requiring fast, hard, loud bass.

Thanks for any help.

Default Re: Wood Beaters?

volume and attack will come from how heavy your foot is.... its the timbre that changes. plastic is very clicky, where as wood is a bit toned down. i have used tama wood beaters on my speed cobras for over a year now, very little signs of wear
