Default Bass drum resonant head?

Hi guys,

I'm getting new drum heads and need a new bass drum resonant head. I would like it to be ported too. I'm going remo pinstripe for the toms and snare, do remo do a bass drum resonant? If not what bass drum resonant head should I go for? Thanks

Go to Remo's website and find out for yourself. If you can go to this one, you can go to that one too. I prefer Evans heads, so the EQ3 Resonant head is just what you are looking for. Peace and goodwill.

Depends on what you're gonna slap on the bass batter side, and what sound you want to get. I pretty much use Remo Ambassador heads as my "default" kick reso. They work real well, whether I'm running Ambassador, Emperor, Powerstroke 3, or Pinstripe batter. But I'm usually looking for a fairly "open" sound. I also run Emperor, Powerstroke 3 and Fiberskyn 3 reso., on some of my kicks. Just all depends on what you want, sound wise. I'm into changing heads to change sound (I like to mix it up), as well as having 20, 22, 24, and 26 inch kicks.
