is there any way to make my pads trigger at lower velocities?
the pads don't trigger when i play really quiet

You can adjust the sensitivity for the entire kit or individual pads. Look in the manual for your particular model.

What do you currently have your trigger settings set (i.e., velocity, gain, curve & level) to? That will definitely make a difference in how a pad triggers...also, what module are you using?

using the Yamaha DTX550k

with a USB to MIDI cable plugged directly into my Macbook using Garageband.
