Default Iron Cobra Hi Hat Rod

Hi, I've had an iron cobra hi hat stand for a while now and i just recently noticed that the pull rod has a lot of wear and tear on it. I went to guitar center to be a replacement for it and they only sold 1 kind. I think it was Gibraltar. Anyways it doesnt fit with the iron cobra hi hat stand. I thought these things would all be universal. Anyone know where i can find a replacement for mine? The threading on the one I bought is too big to fit also.

I need to get one, too. I want to have a whole one so I can cut the current one down a little bit for positioning of cymbals.

You need to go to a Tama dealer for that item, and hopefully it won't take too long to get one.

TAMA uses a feeble 6 mm HH rod, you can actually see it bending if you play hard. Just about every TAMA HH rod I've seen is bent.

If you could have the GIBRALTAR'S threads cut to fit, or find/fab an adaptor, you're better off with the thicker rod. Drill the hole in your plastic cup (spring seat) to size and you're banging.
