Default need louder CY8 crash.

Hey I just picked up a used CY8 crash to put onto my cr2 cable.

2 questions:

question the first, I have the volume in the 'mixer' part of the menu put to 100 on the cymbal and its not quite loud enough almost. any what to make it louder??

and question 2

I only have like 4 options in cymbal choices, medium 16", 18" and dark 16 and 18. everythig else is like cowbell and triangle and other almost useless junk.

am I limited to only those 4 sounds as far as crashes go?? I have read the manual but I am still stumped.

thanks

I'll try to help but I didn't see any indication of which brain you have on the kit.
I have a TD-9 for which I would do this:

for the volume you could leave the crash at 100 and dial the other voices down a little to compensate, or possibly change the sensitivity setting of the CY-8 itself, to make it more sensitive.

For the cymbal sounds, it really will depend on the brain of your kit, but you may be able to change the pitch and sustain by editing the voice. You can do that on the TD-9 so even though the voice is called '18" crash', you can edit the size and sustain etc to make it sound very different, like other sizes.

Good luck!
