Default Rusty Brushes ??!!

Hey everyone,
my brushes recently got kind of rusty. Not rusty as yellow/orange rust.... More like oxidation on it. They are not smooth as they used to be and don't sweep on the snare as well. And it not because they sat for too long in my case! I use them on gigs 3-4 times a week! It happened very suddenly!
I wanted to know if it happened to someone else and what to do!
Thanks!
Simon

Weird. Never happened to me, and my brushes are really old and not frequently used.
I suggest you wash your brushes with water and soap. If that doesn't work, get a pair of new brushes.

Peace

It happened to me too with a pair of the purple Vic Firth Heritage brushes. I just bought an identical pair and am keeping them in the plastic tube they come in to try to prevent this, but it's happening again, especially on the pull ring. I think it's the oil and sweat from my hands that makes it happen. Maybe try not to touch the wires? I'm as perplexed as you are.
