Thanks GWD. I have had this issue too. Lately I have been using EC2s on my 12 and 14 and a G2 on my 10. I use G1s for the resos.

Ok, so my youngest daughter (10 yrs. old) has been bugging me about setting up the Birch Custom Abs. kit..so last night I granted her request and decided to take the Maple kit down for a little bit and put the birch kit up.....here's some pics...pretty much same setup as my maple kit, other than the kick is an 18X20..

So what are you sayin??..my kit looks like a transformer..lol...yea I got some hardware there..have you ever tried Paiste..they're really nice sounding cymbals..they have that classic rock kinda sound..Zildjians are nice as well..not sure about Meinl's..never tried them..

Vinyl sticker that I purchased on ebay...had to try a couple different companies before I found one that made sticker that actually stuck to mesh...:)

Hello everybody,

Today I just bought my first Yamaha... got a 1999 Yamaha Beech Custom.. I havent even got it set up..

Toms

Bass drums (one of the bass hoops cracked, thats why it has the maple hoop)

Bought it of a guy through craigslist.. i'm hoping to enjoy it for a while... Thanks for looking.

Im very fond of them =).

The depths of the toms i am not positive about. From left to right:

1968 14" Ludwig Super sensitive
Tama 8" timbalito (spelling?) tuned fairly high.
8" Yamaha Oak tom
10" Yamaha Oak tom
12" Yamaha Oak tom
Floor toms:
13" Yamaha Oak
14" Yamaha Oak
Bass drum:
20" x 17" (i think) Yamaha Oak
Main snare:
A modern Slingerland wood snare.... i think from the 90's...... i got damn lucky with the finish.

i do not muffle any of my drums (including the bass).

That's awesome, man! I've got a similar thing going on without an 8" tom (10, 12, 14, 16, 20) on my Stage Custom. I love yours though. Probably sounds killer. 13" floor toms are so much fun too.

Here is my Stage Custom Birch kit that I purchased in October 2011.

Here's another angle of them set up on the riser I built a few weeks ago. (A black skirt is in the works)

And finally a shot of the drums and the drummer in action. Bangin' out that surf beat on the 16" tom.

I go back and forth between the matching Stage Custom snare and the Chad Smith snare. The stage Custom snare has a warmer tone but the Chad Smith is a lot louder.
