Remo clear Ambassadors are the industry standard.

Resonant heads matter almost as much as batter heads. Any well-made one ply head will work well. Remo Ambassador, Evans G1, Evans EC Resonant, and Aquarian Classic Clear are some examples. Peace and goodwill.

Since you play Clear Emperor's on top, I assume that you like the "clear" tom sound, as opposed to the "warm" sound achieved by coated heads.
I think any one-ply clear head will work great. Remo Ambassador or Evans G1 for example. If you want a warmer sound, you could try coated resoheads, for example Ambassador Coated. But in that case, you should try coated batter heads aswell. Peace out.

Get rid of the old heads four years ago, lol. Great heads for toms are 10 mil single ply heads such as Remo clear Ambassadors or Evans G1 clear. There are others, but these have been tried and true over many years.

Absolutely agreed. They are one of the most efficient and effective heads (batter & resonant), you can place on the drum-set.

Aquarian classic clear or studio x will last at least twice as long as both of those and will cost less as well and on the same drum and tuned the same you would be hard pressed to hear any difference in sound quality between all three.
