Default Good $100-$200 cymbal?

Hi I'm looking to buy a new fast crash cymbal, looking to spend $100-$200, am looking for an A/K custom or an AA/AAX type. Any recommendations?

Looking for 14-16".

Thanks

Sabian AAXpolsion Crashes are very versatile and popular. A 16" should be under $200. Many will recommend used cymbals, and I agree, especially when you can go to a store and hear and see them. Peace, goodwill, and blues.

Look into the AAX Fast Xplosion, my favorite cymbals..
The 18' is my favorite, it cost's just under $200.
If you can get bigger than 16' just gives you more options..

Have a look into the Paiste Twenty and 2oo2. You could definately pick up a 16" for less than 200 bucks. I'm of course not sure what you think about Paiste (obviously, some people love them and some people hate them - I for one love Paiste) but you should definately check Paiste out. The Twenty line sounds a little darker, more of a Zildjian K sound (half the price though), and the 2oo2 are probably the brightest sounding cymbals on the market. I love them.

A nice deal going right now is the Sabian AAX Aero Crash. It's very fast sounding, and by mail-in-rebate, you get a 14" AAXPlosion too.

So you're getting two new cymbals for $195.

All the best

I agree on the AAXplosion choice. Nice sounding & affordable cymbal series.
