not sure where this should of gone, but anyways...
I have a pearl pedal, and the rubber pad on the base is coming away. if anyone else has had this, what glue is best to bond metal and rubber?

Drum Gear and Pedals would have been a good place but here it is. Almost any epoxy type should work.

epoxy. ok thank you. should I 'key' the metal surface?

Re: pedal rubbers on the base

What if you just removed the rubber and replaced it with the hook side of velcro (which is already sticky backed)? DW has used this for years on their pedals and apparently people like it because it grips whatever carpet you put the pedal down on too.

Re: pedal rubbers on the base

It definitely works, but if you are changing your setup often, I'd avoid it- it's a huge pain to adjust since it often lifts the carpet up with it when you move it.

Well, that's probably why DW has gone back to offering the rubber on their pedals. It sucks when you play in someone's house and then you end up lifting up their carpeting. I know what a pain that is to fix!
