really? dynamic on the hihats? i thought that was a no no...
ive been looking at this one.
seems like it would match well with the at3035s...

If you're playing live, go for dynamics all the way around...more durable (for when those pesky "other" people knock 'em over).

For a studio small-diaphragm condenser, check out the Oktava MK 012. It works pretty well for hats or as an under-snare mic.

With all due respect, I wouldn't use dynamics for overheads live. Even though you make a valid point about durability, the transient response of dynamics microphones really just isn't good enough for cymbals. You risk losing definition and clarity - and you'll probably end up with a mid-heavy mix.
