Songs that totally rock out

Avenged Sevenfold "Second Heartbeat"
The last half of the song definately has some of my Favorite fills i've heard!

...

By rock out, am assuming you mean rock songs. The ones that rung me bell over the decades in no particular order:

Get ready -Rare earth

Foot Stompin Music- Grand Funk Railroad

Sweet Lorraine - Uriah Heep

Jumpin Jack Flash- Rolling Stones

Whipping Post - Allman Bros.

Highway Star- Deep Purple

Josie - Steely Dan

Soul Sacrifice - Santana

Proud Mary - Creedence Clearwater Revival

Purple Haze - Jimmy Hendrix

Couldnt Stand The Weather - Stevie Ray Vaughan

....

Abe ... Rare Earth! Wow, that takes me back.

The only ones in that list that fit my "rock out" definition are Foot Stompin' Music (love thos rock star shiny flares haha), Highway Star, Soul Sacrifice, Purple Haze and Couldn't Stand The Weather.

Yep, I meant rock songs but some fusion would fit the bill ... in my books :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQG7XpCiSVA ... starts with some of the best spooky chords ever, and it's rockin' when Johnny starts carving it up at around 1:30.

Also Billy Cobham's Stratus.

Larry Carlton goes right off in his solo during Point It Up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ2PORNJCdU

Oooh.....
Erm.......

Rock n Roll - Led Zep
A little help from my friends - Beatles (Toto's cover rocks best for my money tho!)
Tie your mother down - Queen
Whole lotta love - Led Zep
Burn it to the ground - Nickleback

Sorry - gotta go put these on and rock out!!!!
