Awesome pic! look at the snare rash on that tom too.
Think about the time. The war was beginning, or about to begin for the USA. The integrated races of the dancers shows the power that the Swing Era music had on the American public.
People were taking a social risk just for being in that club. They were having fun while making a statement at the same time. I wonder if they knew this???
What was the drummer doing??? I don't see his sticks anywhere and the people are dancing. He must be playing the hats?
The WMP wrap on that kit had only recently been invented in the late 30's with the introduction of Nylon and Polyester.
